A carved helmet shell cameo set in a sterling silver mount, depicting a classical female bust in left-facing profile — floral detail in the hair, draped fabric at the shoulder, a subject emblematic of Victorian neoclassical taste. The warm honey-and-cream layering of the shell is well-preserved, the relief carving retaining good definition. The mount features a scalloped outer edge and twisted rope border, both characteristic of the period. The reverse bears British hallmarks with what appears to be a maker's mark of WB, the C-catch pin intact and functional — consistent with Birmingham silver production of the late Victorian to Edwardian period.
