Five amber cabochons, graduated in size, arranged in a considered drop from collarbone to sternum — the largest hanging free at centre, the others stepping up symmetrically on either side. A composition, not just a necklace. Each stone is cognac-deep, glowing from within, and if you look closely the inclusions are there — tiny suspended traces of ancient matter locked inside resin that was already old when the pyramids were new. Baltic amber is fossilised time, organic and warm, no two pieces identical. The sterling silver throughout is oxidised to a dark contrasting patina, a deliberate choice that makes the amber burn brighter by comparison. Fine curb link chain, clean round bezel settings. Nothing competes with the stones.
