Mackintosh Rose

Like a window thrown open on a Glasgow spring. This rectangular sterling silver pendant frames a single stylised rose, its stem curling and unfurling in the unmistakable Art Nouveau line of the Glasgow School. Three cabochons of cognac Baltic amber catch the light where petals and leaves should fall — two marquise leaves and one round bloom, each one glowing like sun through honey. The silver is oxidised to a soft antique grey, throwing every tendril and scroll into relief. Worn at the throat, it reads as a small piece of architecture: romantic, deliberate, and quietly extraordinary.
