Dating to circa 1860–1880, a Scottish pebble brooch in sterling silver — a radial composition of Highland agate specimens, each individually cut, polished, and set in silver claw settings. The stones appear to include banded agate, carnelian, jasper, moss agate, and bloodstone, selected for their contrasting tones and natural formations, together forming a harmonious circular mosaic. The reverse carries a slate backing, a construction method characteristic of Victorian Scottish pebble jewellery.
